Friends are warmly invited to take part in Vegan for Lent, a reflective journey running from 18 February to 4 April, inspired by the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, compassion and care for creation.
Organised by Quaker Vegan Witness, the initiative encourages Friends to explore vegan living as both a spiritual practice and an expression of faithful witness. Lent offers a natural time for reflection and renewal, and this programme invites participants to consider how everyday food choices can reflect our commitment to peace, equality and stewardship of the Earth.

Throughout the Lent period, participants will receive daily reflection points, offering gentle prompts to support spiritual grounding and thoughtful engagement. There will also be opportunities to share experiences, insights and practical ideas together through the ‘Vegan Curious’ support group, recognising the value of community as Friends explore this journey side by side.
The initiative is open to all, whether already vegan, exploring plant-based living, or simply curious about the connections between our Quaker faith, food and compassionate living.

If you also know a Friend who might be interested, please encourage them in your Meeting and forward this information on to them.
